Never go to sleep
You should never fall asleep watching a game. Case in point is the game against the Flames. When I drifted off on the couch near the end of the first period, the Sens had a firm 2-1 lead and looked to be in the driver's seat.

When I woke up hours later to some annoying talking head, I'd missed the game. Thank God for PVR. I backtracked to the end of the game. What?!? A 5-2 loss? What happened? I watched the game in fast forward right then and there. What happened is that in the absence of Daniel Alfredsson's stedying influence, the Senators took some bad penalties and paid the price dearly.
I'm not sure if the Sens actually check the stats before the game. If they had, they would have found out that the Flames are far from the best team on the power play.... except at home where they are a top-ten team. Don;t fault Robin lehner on this one. The kid actually did stand on his head a couple of times and kept the Sens in the game until about halfway through the third period.
It was a disappointing 11th loss in a row. Especially now that Jason Spezza is back, losing Alfie to lower back injury is harsh. You just knew that it wasn;t just age that was slowing down our captain, and that he was playign with a nagging injury. He played hard in vancouver and paid the price. Come back healthy Alfie.
GO SENS GO!!
