Robbed! Again...
Yeah, okay, the Sens didn't show up in the second period and were made to pay. Yeah, okay, Brian Elliott was weak on the redirect for Calgary's third goal. But what really changed the momentum of the game was, once again, referee error that benefitted the other team.

Rule 67.4 clearly states that if a defending player, except a goalkeeper, holds the puck, picks up the puck, or gathers the puck into hand in the goal crease, the play is stopped immediately and a penalty shot is awarded.
That's the rule and the ref knew the rule and he was right there behind the net to watch the play. Yet, no call was made. Why exactly? My God, but I'm tired of these game changing bad calls by the refs. How many bad calls have we seen this year? I mean truly game-changing bad calls? It started with the Kings game in October, and went on from there. Twice the beneficiaries were the Penguins. My thought is that the Sens aren't paying the right people.
Okay, that's out of my system. As to the rest of the game, the Senators were back to normal, except in the third. The first period was (again) dominated by the Sens but they (again) couldn't finish the job. They then (again) made a lackluster effort in the second (again) only to try and come back in the third (again) and falling short (again).
Kudos to the forwards who never gave up and worked hard to bring the Senators back into the game, especially Chris Kelly, Nick Foligno, and Milan Michalek. Jeers for Sergei Gonchar who looked weak and hesitant once again last night, especially on the Moss goal where he was out of position.
GO SENS GO!!
