What the...
I admit I missed it. But bless the linesman who didn't, who saw two centres and six men on the ice, and spotted Kyle Brodziak trying to sneak back to the bench.

That single play, which should have given the Minnesota Wild a 2-1 lead, turned to ashes in their mouths. The penalty was called after the goal was taken away. Nick Foligno made no mistake and lasered a shot in less than 10 seconds into the power play. From that point the Senators never looked back.
I was bery pleased to see Daniel Alfredsson score his second goal in as many games, and pick up a second point with the assist on Foligno's goal. It was high time. I also liked the fact that the Senators hit a couple of crossbars and posts. That means that everyone's beaten and only the hardware on the net was in the way. Not so at the other end where Chris Phillips made a couple of key saves when goalie Pascal Leclaire was out of position.
Leclaire was solid and his leg speed kept the Sens in the game a few times, including a close call when the puck bounced off Brian Lee's skate. I still don;t like the way he over-commits, but you can;t argue with the results.
The Senators didn't sit on their lead either, not until there was about three minutes remaining in the game. Then and only then did they go into full-on defensive mode. Prior to that, they pushed and tried to extend their lead, or at least, to keep control in the opposing zone.
With their Dad's watching, the Sens did no wrong, and eked out a win. Just a suggestions, but the Sens front office may consider doing the Dad thing a little more frequently.
