Shoot-out heartbreaker

They did it. They held the line. They put a ton of shots on goal. They fought along the boards. They won more battles than they lost. They got great goaltending. And it still wasn't enough to take the two points.

It was a hard fought battle, back and forth and extremely even with the Sens firing 32 shots, while the Sabres placed 31 pucks on Brian Elliott. Both goalies walked away with a shut-out, a pretty rare thing these days. In the end, it was a slapshot from Vanek that seemed to surprise Elliott.

A tough break for the Sens who nevertheless pick up the single point for their effort. I expect Elliott to get the call again against the Rangers on Sunday.

GO SENS GO!!
