Call up Brodeur!!
Wrong call-up! The Sens have called up Zach Smith, likely to fill in for an injured Milan Michalek who is listed as "day-to-day". The person they should have called up is Mike Brodeur.

Unfortunately, Pascal Leclaire has not shown that he can do it. He should have had both Brad Richard's first goal (5-hole), and Trevor Daley's. That's what you're paid for: to make those saves. Neither of those was exceedingly hard and should have been stopped, Leclaire was also guilty of overcommiting on Brad Richards second goal, which is why he was caught ingloriously sitting on the ice while Richards ripped one past him from his knees.
In the past, I've noted that some of the advice spouted (gratuitously, I may add) on this blog has been picked up. Fluke or not, here's some more advice in the hopes that my voice will find an ear again: sit Leclaire. For good. There are 10 games left in the season, and what matters now is getting deep into the playoffs. Brian Elliott can get us there, but he needs a reliable backup for the inevitable times where he will falter, and that backup is not Leclaire.
What the Sens need is to call-up Mike Brodeur, and give him a home game and two road games to play, to get him in shape for the playoffs. Don't laugh. It wouldn't be the first time a team rode on the shoulders of a rookie goalie deep into the playoffs. Does the name Ken Dryden ring any bells?
