Shameful!
The streak stops at 11 with a totally shameful display against the Loafs in Toronto. Truth be told, the Senators played like a junior hockey team. A bad junior hockey team.

Brian Elliott got chased out of the nets after two periods. Admittedly, he let in a softie from Schenn, but otherwise, he got no support in front of him. What a throwback to the bad old days. The Sens couldn't clear the puck from the front nof their net if their lives depended on it. Kessel's second goal should never have happened. Doesn't Filip Kuba know by now that one of Kessel's favourite moves is to cut inside for the shot on net? Argh! Bring in Pascal Leclaire, who impresses me less and less every time I see him, and of course he lets in a softie from a long distance bomb. The bomb is Leclaire's trouble spot and has been since day one with the Sens.
The attack was pathetic and the Sens got beat to every puck. Granted the Loafs pushed and pushed hard and were hungrier, but most of the play in the offensive zone was lackluster, with bad passes, missed passes, no cycling and bad decisions. The special teams were nothing to write home about. The powerplay was its usual self; anemic. The Sens penalty killers, usually sharp and difficult to breach, couldn;t clear the zone most of the time.
Penalties were also an issue, with the Senators taking way too many of them. Matt Carkner got TKO'ed by Orr in the first and that seemed to take the air out of the Sens somehow. You could clearly see Carkner's hands up in submission, he'd had enough. Overall, a relapse to the bad days of October and November when the Sens defense was flat, and the offense couldn't get going. It's going to take a lot of tender loving care from Mrs. Zamboni to help me forget this game.
