Hats off: Record breakers

Hats way off to a couple of record breakers on the Senators team.

First is Brian Elliott who is the first ever Senators player to wind up on the NHL's "3 stars of the week" list two weeks in a row. Since his start in nets eight games ago, Elliott has allowed a bare 10 goals on 235 shots, good for a 1.25 GAA and a fantastic .957 save percentage.

Hats off as well to Jason Spezza for scoring in his seventh straight game. The previous record of six consecutive games with a goal was last tied by none other than Dany Heatley back in 2007. It is about time Spezza got some accolades.

And of course, hats off to the entire team for its 10th consecutive win. Another record bites the dust.
