The streak continues. The Sens have now established a new franchise record and don't seem to be anywhere close to stopping.

The best part of this is that the Sens don't seem too concerned about the streak itself. When asked about his game, winning goal and how it extends the streak, Mike Fisher glossed over the streak and concentrated on the team effort and the wonderful pass he received from rookie Erik Karlsson. It's better that way, The Senators are going out every game and concetrating on winning and playing their team game, and it's paying off big.

Karlsson's pass was a thing of beauty, prefectly timed and placed. I am very impressed with the growth of Karlsson in the past while and it's great to see him find his stride in the bigs and gain confidence. His contribution on the offensive is more and more prevalent, and I'm expecting a breakout game for him this season. Alex Kovalev, Filip Kuba and Karlsson all picked up 2 points on the game, and the whole team played with energy and drive, took the game to the Canadiens, and barely relented, although the Habs did counter-attack hard near period endings.

On the downside Nick Foligno suffered a fractured leg when blocking a point shot and will be out for 6-8 weeks, and this at a time when he was being masterful on the forecheck, gaining and keeping puck control in the offensive zone. The question is will Cory Clouston go to his healthy scratches, or will he call-up someone from Bingo? Jesse Winchester was supposedly ready for the Habs game yesterday but didn't suit up, so could come back in to fill out the line-up.
