One up, one down

Jason Spezza is expected to make his return today against the Bruins in Boston. Spezza, who was expected to only return after the Olympic break, had a good skate both Thrusday and Friday, and is gunning to return to the line-up. There will be huge expectations for him as both Daniel Alfredsson and Milan Michalek were able to find the back of the net on their return to the line-up. Can Spezza do the same?

Due to Spezza's return, Zack Smith is on his way back to the Binghamton farm team. Smith made a good contribution to the Sens' 4th line once he'd gotten used to the speed and play of the Bigs. I'm sure the Baby Sens will benefit from his NHL experience. Anton Volcheckov  is also questionable for today's game due to an undisclosed upper body injury. Look for Clouston to give him the time to get better and put Alexandre Picard in.

The Bruins have been having problems of late, and today's game is the perfect opportunity for the Senators to distance themselves from the 6th place Rangers, and perhaps gain a little ground on the 4th place Penguins in the conference. I'm looking forward to some aggressive play once again, and renewed energy now that the injury list is getting a little more manageable.
