When I'm wrong, am I EVER wrong!
You will remember that I said the Senators would have to win three of their road games to mark a successful trip away from Scotiabank Place. I also said they would have to beat both the Hurricanes and the Thrashers to have any chance of pulling that off.

So I was wrong. Very wrong. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa (which should be written in italics, as a close friend pointed out recently).
The Senators were unimpressive (read "suckish" here) against both of those bottom-feeding teams, and came up aces against stiffer competition. It that's what's in the cards for the near future, I'll take it.
But you have to admit, I was right on the need to win three games. The Sens are now comfortably tied with Boston in points, only dropping to 6th in the conference because the Bruins have two games in hand. A tough test tomorrow against the dominating Chicago Black Hawks, a day after the Senators end their road trip. That game looks like a toss-up. Both teams are riding a three-game winning streak, but the Hawks are a powerhouse.
