He's back!!
Daniel Alfredsson came back to the line-up in a big way against the Canadiens.

The Senators captain picked up three points on the night putting in the goal to tie the game up in the second period. He also made a gorgeous pass that sent Zack Smith on a breakaway for the first goal of the game while the Sens were down one man, and contributed to Mike Fisher's drought ending empty-net goal.
But it wasn't just the scoring. His presence was felt everywhere on the ice, with the special teams, in the offensive and defensive zones. The Senators who had been relegated to the dump-and-chase game for the past while, saw their captain show them how to bring the puck in over the offensive blue line, setting up the offensive zone. As a result, the Sens attacks on net last night were much more potent. Alfredsson is a wizard along the boards and this was prevalent last night when he repeatedly kept puck possession even when surrounded by Canadiens shirts.
The Captain is back, and I'm hoping the Senators ride out the positive impact to turn their current road trip on its head and come home with a .600 record to show for it.
