Down the tubes
The Sens came out flying in the first but couldn't capitalize on it, and it cost them big. After that, it was all Canes all the way. A must-win game has been flushed down the tubes.

Pascal Leclaire was once again disappointing. Is it just me or has everyone noticed that Leclaire over-commits too much. I mean, it's fine to defend one side of the net as long as you have a chance to come back should the play shift to the other side. Leclaire got caught on that with the point shot from Rod Brind'amour for the second Carolina goal.
Otherwise, not much to say: bad passes, turnovers, poor effort, slow speed... 'nuff said. The Sens have pretty much frittered away any chance of coming home from the road trip with a .500 record.
