Hats off: Mike Brodeur
Hats way off for Mike Brodeur on his first win in his first NHL game. Fow a while there, it looked like Brodeur might walk away with a shut-out in his first ever game.

Brodeur, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, stands up quite a bit in the crease but plays a style that makes him look huge, arms well away from the body. He was very solid, positionally ecellent, and was downright spectacular on a few Minnesota attempts in the third period. He is extermely fast at getting back on his skates, and looked very comfortable for a NHL "virgin".
With Pascal Leclaire due to return to the line-up soon, it's good to know that this type of talent is ready to step in at a moment's notice.
