Carrie Underwood scares me, she really does. Recently, Carrie appeared in an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and finally explained how she and Mike Fisher came to be an item than has been ongoing for over a year. Marriage was mentioned. While Carrie underscored that Mike may not be the guy, her body english suggested she wouldn't mind one bit. And folks, I've come to a major scientific conclusion: marriage is bad for the Senators.



Wade Redden was riding high with the Sens, when his mother passed away. He came back, naturally, a little diminished. Then he married girlfriend Danica Toponisky, and gone was the Wade Redden we once knew. His spark was gone, his passing ability was gone, and he made lots of mistakes.



Jason Spezza used to be a scoring powerhouse. He'd be at the top end of the league in goals pretty much every season. Jason Spezza got married last summer to Jennifer Snell. Now Jason can't find the back of the net. He tries to make the same moves, but they're not there. He remains as a great set-up man, but his scoring touch is gone.
