Sens specialty: the Shorty
There's all kinds of ways to interpret the title: but I'm referring of course to the Sens hold on the top spot in short-handed goals. Players like Daniel Alfredsson, and now Milan Michalek, are always a threat on the PK and can slip away for an end-run when you least expect it.

Shorty
This only comes from a PK unit that knows where everyone's going to be on the ice at any time. That has been the reason behind the Sens' success on the penalty kill (1st in the league). A perfect example was Mike Fisher's backhand pass to Alfie for the breakaway during the Bruins game on October 24. Fisher didn't even have to look, and shovelled the puck back to where he knew Alfredsson was going to be. I expect more of the same as the season conitnues. In the run up to the Stanley Cup, a tema has to have all it's weapons well-oiled. It's nice to see the Sens have plenty of ammo for this particular piece.
