Sens face limping Bruins

The Boston Bruins are feeling the loss of both Milan Lucic and Marc Savard to injuries. Marc Savard is the team's points leader, but his absence has allowed Bruins newcomer Steve Begin to step up. Begin contributed a goal in the Bruins' last two games. This season, the Bruins are also without Chuck Kobasew, a Sens killer, and Phil Kessel. Tim Thomas is usually hot against the Sens, and Chara is always a threat.

Jason Spezza

Meanwhile, the Sens will be trying to erase the humiliation of the last game, and try to keep up the tempo they showed in the third period agains the Preds. Jason Spezza is still without a goal, but ranks third on the Sens scoresheet with 7 points in 8 games. I'm looking for him to erase that goals goose egg tonight. Daniel Alfredsson has surreptitiously been racking up more than a point a game, and I expect to see more of the same.

This would be a good opportunity for the Sens to step it up. This is the Bruins first division match-up of the season, and winning those is important. All in all, I see the Bruins as severely outclassed, but then again, so were the Preds and look what happened. I predict a fairly tight game with a final score of 3-2 that could go either way.
