Hats off: Habs fans
| Don't get me wrong, I have an ongoing hate-on for the Canadiens fans. They are usually rude, obnoxious, and if you pour a drink into them, sometimes violent. As a fanbase, they rank amongst the frothing rabid somewhere on a par with the Leafs fans. But there are times when an individual transcends fan boundaries, and Montreal fans recognized this in Alex Kovalev last night. The crowd at the Bell Centre gave the Tsar a standing ovation when he scored his 3rd period goal, chanting "Kovy, Kovy...". Kovalev expressed his appreciation for their support, over the summer and last night, by saluting them when he was chosen as third star of the game. |
