Sens Alumni, one for the ladies...
In a sports world dominated by testosterone, it's no wonder that some will try to garner the attention of folks of the female persuasion. Which is why this year's ESPN magazine Body Issue features some of the best male bods in the sports world, including Sens alumnus Zdeno Chara.
Since leaving Ottawa in that fateful Chara vs Redden decision (which we won't get into here), Chara has become pivotal for the Bruins, garnering the "C", and getting major ice time. He has been a 50-point D-man for the last two seasons, with his 105mph slap shot anchoring the first power play line in Boston. He has already garnered 2 points in 5 games. While this is not up to his usual standard, it's early season yet. For a guy who measures 6 feet 9 inches and weighs in at 255 lbs, Chara is surprisingly agile on the ice and his reach as a blueliner is a huge advantage for the Bruins.
| Apologies in advance to those out there who are not secure in their masculinity, or who find that this sort of thing has no place in sports. While my blog has yet to generate comments - probably due to to the incisiveness of my diatribe and the acuteness of my wit - this may just do the trick! Who knew that the Big Z, who looks like a beanpole on the ice, had such pipes? For more on the typical reactions to this pic, check out this great blog entry from "The Universal Cynic". | ![]() |
