Foligno Alfredsson switch

Sens coach Cory Clouston decided to shake things up a little bit in a bid to get more production from his top two lines. The top line, specifically, has been unproductive for such a star-studded group.

Fisher's line has been limited to a single point since the beginning of the season, Fisher's OT goal in the last game against the Islander. Kovalev is still hunting for point number one, and has seen very little ice space whenever he touches the puck. Putting Alfredsson with them makes sense, as I believe Alfie is a smart playmaker, and can make things happen around him. It will also give the defense something else to worry about, which may provide a little more elbow room for Kovalev.

Spezza, while making some good plays, is still in search of his first goal and has been limited to a single assist in the Sens' season opener. Michalek is also still looking for goal number one. While moving Alfie to the second line makes snse, I'm not sure that Foligno is the guy to tag on to the top line. If Foligno and Michalek can play off each other down low, and crash the net, Spezza could very well be able to feather the pass to them. We'll find out tonight.
